WSJ: Verizon Wireless finally gets iPhone
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Apple's iPhone handset is finally going to be available on the Verizon Wireless network.

The report cites people close to the companies, stating that Verizon Wireless will make the announcement of the new partnership on Tuesday in New York. The move will now give U.S. consumers a choice of network when buying an iPhone.

The Verizon phone will be similar to the iPhone 4 but run on the carrier's CDMA technology, WSJ's sources are saying.

AT&T has had exclusive rights to sell iPhones in the U.S. since the first device was introduced back in 2007. Since then, the handset has fueled much of AT&T's subscriber growth.

Smartphones running the Android operating system are offered by all major carriers in the United States, and sales of smartphones running Android outpaced iPhone sales in the second quarter, 2010.

The report cites no one as WSJ never does as to who is responsible for lying about a Verizon iPhone. The academic meaning behind citation is to actually identify the source or influence for your material. "Somebody familiar" will get you a red mark on whatever article you're writing. Otherwise, it should be considered nothing more than fiction. The more likely scenario is Verizon is ramping up its LTE services and not just in the initial 38 markets. Reports are already being made that Milwaukee and up to a total of 50 markets will have LTE very soon. It seems anytime Verizon sneezes, the WSJ writes an article about the iPhone being launched. This has been happening for years and is just plain tired now. The real news story here should be why WSJ keeps doing this and a formal request for retraction should be made against it.

It is the WSJ...they were created with a single goal: to give bad stock advise to idiots who then buy the wrong stocks, driving up the cost, and allowing those who control wall street to sell short, leaving the public with the loss. It seems they accidentally hit on a good stock once in a while, but mostly it is just BS...and even when it is good advise, it is usually several hours too late to be of any good.

Want to win on walstreet by using the WSJ? Sell what they tell you to buy, buy what they tell you to sell...that is essentially what the wall street billionaires are doing.

Verizon Wireless invited Mac journalists to Tuesday's event, but left Gizmodo off the list, strongly suggesting that it's at Apple's request.
