Hackers plant fake Tupac story on PBS

PBS has confirmed that hackers planted a fake story on their website late Saturday night after taking over the company's computer systems.

The group, identifying themselves as "The Lulz Boat," posted a fake story that famous rapper Tuapc Shakur, murdered in 1996, was really alive and living in New Zealand.



Additionally, the group started posting email and passwords for PBS users.

The group still had control as of this morning, posting defaced pages at an alarming rate.

Via the group's Twitter page, the Lulz Boat say they were angry about a recently aired "Frontline" episode about WikiLeaks.

  I'm not a Tupac fan at all, but guerrilla video production is a favorite of mine since I was in condition to do it (not now, too old & busted up).
  
  "Johnny Mnemonic" here we come!!! For once, "no harm, no foul". I love it!!! Especially for the tight asses associated with PBS (I won't get started).

  tupac is somewhere if you look at the facts around his murder they dont make sense.btw i remember we had a big discussion about whether tupac is dead or alive back in 05 after about 40pages of posts it was closed.
