Motorola to be first with Tegra 3-based tablet?

Nvidia showed off their quad-core Kal-El (Tegra 3) processors at the Mobile World Congress, going as far as to say that the first tablets with the powerful processors should be available by August.

Smartphones using the processor could be available before Christmas, added the company.



Today, we have our first Tegra 3 rumor, with sources claiming Motorola will be first with a quad-core tablet, with that device coming as soon as late August, in time for "back-to-school" specials.

Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang says they have 10 OEMs working on Tegra 3 devices, but would not name the companies or give a time table.

The Tegra 3 features performance up to 500 percent better than the dual-core Tegra 2 processors and gaming performance that far outperforms any current device.

  PS3 has and is outdated in all areas when it comes to the tech world. Same could be said about my beloved Xbox 360.

  Looks like the iPud has a contender for the processing market. This is probably going to be aimed at the professional market more than a consumer market (although they say 'back to school'), for say clinical and light industrial areas. Places where computing power of a laptop is needed, but the tablet platform is a welcome relief.
  
  As for another little snot rocket needing more processing power to try & sneak in a game of Angy Birds while Miss Jones ain't looking I'm not exactly sure. I mean, didn't the Dual Core tablets "just" hit the market? I'm talking like 4 possible 6 weeks at the most ago? Or are the senior moments starting to run closer together than I care to admit?
