iPhone 5 coming September 5th?

iPhone 5 coming September 5th?
According to multiple reports, the iPhone 5 will be announced next month with a September 5th launch date.

The early September launch will be for U.S.-only, however, with international launches being rolled out starting in October.

Allegedly, Apple is hiring more staff for next month, and AT&T has begun training employees for the upcoming release.

Apple broke its traditional June launch cycle for the iPhone, instead introducing iOS 5, OS X Lion and the iCloud.

It is still unclear if the iPhone 5 will be the only new model introduced by Apple, as many reports expect the company to also launch an "iPhone 4S," a slightly improved version of the current model which Apple will sell as pre-paid.

This just in... Apple changed the brand of toilet paper in their bathrooms. Stay tuned for the exclusive story!

Story after story after story... Apple Apple Apple.
When will the media get tired of being worked over like this?

(PS: That is a criticism of the MEDIA outlets in general and not of AD in particular. I think you guys do a great job)

Unfortunately for them, all Blu-ray protections have been broken and BD rips can be found around the Internet, usually before the retail even hits shelves.

I wonder if the "4S" will finally address the antenna issue...oh wait...it is apple...the antenna issue will probably be on the iPhone5 as well...we can be sure that the Adobe Flash issue will be.

I once hated Apple because I feel like they exploit people...but I don't really have a problem with Apple exploiting those people anymore; they deserve to be exploited if they are going to buy from Apple after everything that has happened in the past couple of years.

Couldn't of said it better. I'm so excited for the iPhone 5 to come out so I can throw apples at people standing in line outside the stores.

Could buy all that 'i' tat but just won't.
Laughably high prices for unimpressive specs.

The real question is whether Apple will finally open up to all carriers. If not, then Android will continue to take market share away from them.

So I didn't use the right word, my point was still made and that's all that matters. If people want to get so worked up on grammar and spelling, do it for school; on the net, honestly who cares? I not commenting on people who can't write a proper full sentence.

Sure is taking the android platform a while to develop a phone that attracts this many customers...maybe the Galaxy S2 or Google Nexus prime will make good attempts.

Anyone that knows me knows I am not a fan of Apple for the most part. However, when it came to choosing a phone I chose the iPhone. I originally had the iPhone 3G and I chose it primarily because my car only accepts iPods and it was essentially the best phone AT&T had at the time. It worked very well even though it had a few issues mainly due to iOS bugs and what not. It did what I needed it to do and never gave me an ounce of hardware trouble and once they fixed the dropped calls problem sometime in iOS 2.x it was damn good phone and entertainment device. That phone is still working today as my wife uses it and I upgraded to the iPhone 4. If AT&T will let me I may use the upgrade on my wife's line and get the iPhone 5 and give her my iPhone 4 because despite the phone still working the performance has slowed down due to iOS 4.x.

That being said I know plenty of people with Android phones and while I think that is a good choice too most of these people have a lot of issues with their phone. These issues range from things like terrible battery life, random crashes of apps, phone shutting itself off and rebooting. My brother is on his 3rd EVO for these types of issues and my Mom is on her second DROID X. My sister has the original DROID phone and is ready to throw it at the wall and hop on the iPhone bandwagon now that Verizon has them too. Most people that I know with iPhones have had very little issues with them and if they had any it was due to software or their own neglegence by dropping it or something.

The only issue I have with the iPhone now is Apple's dictator like business practices. Fortunately that affects me very little but I know the software developers and some customers are not very happy with that side of the iPhone. I have also never experienced the antenna problem with my iPhone 4 and neither has anyone else I know. Of course we all have them in some sort of case but not once could I get the signal to degrade just by holding it.

Leo Laporte got rid of his iPhone ages ago.

I understand Apple is a big company, but they release crap all the time for the purpose of grabbing the headlines. This is not a headline, it is "same as usual". It is Apple saying crap for the purpose of getting media attention.
There is nothing new here and only the idiots who upgrade their iPhone every 6 months care in the least.

Android releases a new phone every 5 minutes. Shall they take over the media?

    That's all I'm saying.

Unfortunately for them, all Blu-ray protections have been broken and BD rips can be found around the Internet, usually before the retail even hits shelves.

I had the Iphone 2g, 3g and I jumped to Sprint for the Evo, I didn't like how they keep on dropping calls on me when I had it, and also I had to jailbreak my to actually do what I like to do with the phone instead of following what apples wants, I like to customize things with my phone, background, ringtones, and didn't have to fiddle through itunes, most of them are fixed after Iphone 4 came out since my friends has them, but it still wasn't what I wanted.

Now, I had EVO since then and now I'm on EVO 3D, yes, the battery was an issue for me on EVO, but other than that, I didn't have any problems with the phone, until i accidently spill water on it then got my new evo from sprint. I don't know what your friends or family do to their phones, but i had totally different result, yea, sometimes it crashes cuz you probably have too many things running and it couldn't handle itself, when i had iphone it did the same thing, it was not so much of reboot itself, it just FROZE, so is not like iphone doesn't crash. Random crashs of apps can be due to the apps itself, some android phones can't handle some apps, in the app store it will actually tell you that it is not compatible for some devices, thats why it crashs.

Evo 3d has a way better battery life than the original EVO, for me it last throughout the day due to heavy usage. Again, it depends how you use the phone, I had bad battery life with my Iphone 3g (mainly cuz i had it for like 1.5 yrs), but then again I CAN'T swap out the battery like i can with the Android phones.

Problem I had with Iphone and what i dislike was that I couldn't send files through bluetooth, not a song, or ringtone, or even pictures, I hated that until I jaibroke my iphone.

I dislike that you are now force to update your phone or it will shut it down by itself on 80% battery life, it should be ppl's choice if they want to update or not, not forced to do it. (info from my friend when he took it to the apple store)

I guess I just feel like I'm being force the way that apple want me to do things their ways, thats why i went to android, it just felt more fun to customize your own without restriction.

If ppl like to have more freedom and customize the way they want with their phones, I prefer android base phones, but other than that Iphone is a great phone to have cuz I had it, even tho I like more of android base phone, I still own an Itouch 4g (unjaibroken)

I'll stick with Android...my old Droid 1 may be lacking 4G...but so is the iPhone4 (and the iPhone4 was made after 4G was available...my Droid was not). The keyboard still works perfectly, the battery still lasts all day, and the processor has been overclocked to run faster than an iPhone4 processor since a few days after I bought the thing...no issues. Flash videos and Netflix work good too...although some flash videos seem to need a bit more power than this old phone has to offer even when overclocked.

The Droid3 still does not have LTE, so I am not going to buy it...I hope the Droid4 is actually the Droid4G...if it is and I can still get unlimited data after upgrading to LTE, then it will be mine.

AT&T had no 4G ready when the iPhone 4 came out. It still doesn't have a 4G network ready, hence their push to acquire T-mobile's 4G network.
