LulzSec spokesperson 'Topiary' arrested

LulzSec spokesperson 'Topiary' arrested
Scotland Yard has announced that LulzSec spokesperson 'Topiary' has been arrested today.

A specialist cybercrime group raided a house in Scotland's Shetland Islands, arresting the 19-year-old.

Topiary, who is said to only be the spokesperson for the group and not actually involved in any of the "hacking," has given a handful of interviews in the past weeks.

The teen also gave interviews when he was a part of Anonymous.

LulzSec, despite disbanding last month, the group caused 50 days of mayhem, hacking police officials, corporations and revealing emails/passwords.

Possible this guy is another scapegoat. Not uncommon to have just enough pawns with plenty of disinformation to keep law enforcement disjointed for eons. Not that I'm giving BallSack that much credit, but they're not going to leave themselves 'that' exposed that a 19 year old will bring them down.

And no, that's not a shot at 19 year olds. I have kids (yeah, yeah, get over it...) at that age, it doesn't make you all "THAT" worldly. There's 50 & 60 year old folks that get taken advantage of too, so let's not start that wining festival.

I'm just saying, he's only a 'spokesman' at the moment. Or let's call him a 'publicist'... that would be like arresting everyone that ran a story announcing a BallSack hack job.

Until we hear where this guy got his info from, he's nothing more than a tool of that organization.

Uuhm... Ok, I may have to stand corrected and say the kid is a bit more traveled. He's probably silver spooned. Possibly well spoken & trained in some form or fashion in the arts of addressing a public forum...

    And he's a complete F'ing idiot...

I just wanted to give the guy the benefit of the doubt before jumping a bandwagon loaded full of horse manure & riding it into a barn fire, that's all. Can you blame a guy?

No problem at all, wasn't trying to get on your case either...just pointing to a link that *allegedly* shows who Topiary is and what he does. Can't know for sure either way

Ok...so other than appearing in mask that you can buy at Hot Topic, and going on talk shows to discuss the reasons for and effects of hacking, what did the guy do?

Will be want8ing extra links to people.

generally if someone is able to tell the rest of the world what the group is doing then he must know a bit more than most people about whats happening and would also know most if not all the top ranking people.

It's not hard to figure out what the police are doing.

just rounding up everyone and lining them up for the baby oil ride.

'Specialist' cybercrime group my... what body part do I want to give up now? But then again, who was the mathematician that reported this individual was 19 instead of 22/23 (depends on the birth month)?

Police say he's 19, the LulzSecExposed blog says 23, I think we should stick with police's version of the story on this one guys.

They mess up more than anyone I know, and care less when they do... Time will tell, but it's all already becoming mainstream enough that I don't even want to keep up with it.

BallSack probably said he's 23 because it would have been underage drinking in some countries.
