Gamer dies in Internet cafe, no one notices all day
A gamer in Taiwan passed away at an Internet cafe last week, and no one noticed for a full 9 hours.

Chen Rong-yu, who was 23, suffered and died from a heart attack after playing League of Legends for almost 24 straight hours.

The gamer, playing in the cafe in New Taipei City, died but stayed in the same position, with his hands outstretched and on the keyboard. Rong-yu was known to take naps in his chair, so no one seemed to notice. There were 30 other people playing around him but no one noticed until rigor mortis had begun to set in. At that point, a waitress realized what had happened and called the police.

Rong-yu had a history of a bad heart, and initial tests say he died of a heart attack "brought on by low temperatures, fatigue and lack of movement," says the Mail.

That's too bad. People should appreciate what else life can offer besides VGs.

Not necessarily a bad heart, as heart attacks can happen to generally healthy hearts from strokes or other issues due to stress/lack of sleep/diet/etc...things that are commonly bad behaviors by 'addicted' gamers.

No one is addicted to games.

It's a mind over matter thing.

People just think they need to play them, that isn't an addiction.

    ....And too much fast food.

We do not need to go to war with China as long as McDonald's is alive.

Anybody who stays up for days playing something that has nothing to do with reality has a problem. Just like Meth heads and the like.

It is definitely and an addiction.

Next up, a twelve step program for Gamer addicts. I wouldn't doubt it.

Step one: Admitting you have an addiction to games, etc....

I know you can have a bad heart, but lets admit it, usually the people who gets heart attacks are the older adults such as 40 yrs or more unless you are a drug addict teenager ,and unless you just don't take care of yourself. yea, you can born with a heart condition, but this person doesn't seems to be born with anything not that is mentioned. So sad that ppl ruin their life because of video games

Agreed. My family has a history of heart trouble. I had a very mild heart attack when i was 22, and I hope to never experience that again. Yes, stress and lack of sleep was one of the factors that contributed to it, but fortunately I wasn't playing games like this unfortunate man did. Get out and experience life for what it is, and live your day to the fullest that you can.

My daughter was born with a hole in heart, and my best friend has a hole in her heart (which causes them to be less active because if the heart pumps too hard, than picture kaboom).

There are numerous other ways to have a bad heart, we have no idea what his condition actually was. So it's not necessarily a shock that someone would die in his circumstances. Just sucks that no one thought to offer him a coffee/tea anything sooner to avoid death. A simple nudge and hello, could have prevented this.
