Here are the new Apple ads that everyone hates
Since the Olympics began on Friday, Apple has unveiled three new ads that have been generally panned by anyone who has seen them.

The ads are for the Mac and the "Geniuses," the group of Apple tech support employees found in all Apple Stores.

Here are the ads, let us know what you think and whether the company has lost some marketing luster since the passing of Steve Jobs.

Who said I had to watch the ads in order to hate Apple? Matter of fact, I'm not even going to get flim-flammed/goaded into watching the ads in the first place JUST to argue about it.

Pretty creative way of even getting the haters to watch the damned things, if I don't say so myself. Otherwise, if they are indeed so bad that they are alienating their 'geniuses', maybe it's come time for some folks to shudder from an an epiphany.

I own a MacBook Pro and an iPhone...I've been into an Apple store twice. Both times the "geniuses" were less than useless - I fixed my own issues and will never buy another Apple product. Apple touts the ease of use of their products yet these ads make their users look like idiots and maybe we are, we bought the over priced, short lived, pieces of garbage didn't we....

i watched the ads and from what ive seen on the ads the apple is complicated and hard to use.
if a product is made has lots of features and is easy to use them why can't these users in the ads work there apple products.probably because they are not that easy to use.

After watching this crap, I can conclude that "Apple" and "Genius" are words that simply don't suit each other.

Don't be too hard on yourself. If you live in a more metropolitan area & can afford it, pick up one of those $50 a month Android phones & start putzing with that.

Chances are you can 'root' the thing & see what all that goodness will bring you. Then, if you feel enough gumption, warm up to a really good decent used Windows 7 PC. Get a pseudo clunker at first (yeah I know counter intuitive, but hear me out).

Don't give much over say $400 bucks for the thing. And not one of those damned proprietary POSs like an HP or eMachine. Get a hand built from a neighborhood guru. This way you can do all the learning & crashing & screwing up on this machine till you get the hang of it all.

Basically a 12 pack of beer, the internet & some hair on your nuts to at least TRY some things with your new toy, you'll see it really isn't all that bad. And HOLY SHIT! you're in control of it, not the other way around.

    We're there for you man.

Video 1: Ive never heard "Is there a Doctor on board?". Who looks for a Genius? Ive never taken a domestic flight, but for international flights, all electronics should be off as the plane descends.

Video 2: His wife is having a baby. Shouldn't he be worried about his wife first and informing everybody second.

Video 3: No comment. Its just a way for the guy to mention some products.

Genetically, I dislike "breathless" commercials. Ergo, I am "offput" by these three. But, they do convey a message that many will relate to. Let's let the market judge whether Apple gets value for the money spent on these commercials.
Other comments relate to support at the Apple Stores. I deeply appreciate the support that I have received from their San Luis Obispo, CA store. The service has always been prompt, courteous and generally competent. Some of their personnel are not "Geniuses" but, with enough persistence, an expert is always found on the staff who can resolve the issue.
Fortunately, Apple has done a superb job making their phones "user friendly", minimizing the need for extensive Google searches (or store visits) to resolve arcane problems.
Thank you Steve and Apple for enhancing our lives so wonderfully.

Be careful how you juxtapose your 'oxies'... had it not been for the military you wouldn't have the internet you so diligently thrive on. And as for those Apple (or Windows, we'll include them too) devices were bupkiss considering all computers were pretty much military based until the late dope smoking 60s got them small enough to get them out of university laboratories.

You might also load your pants to think that there are a few hundred prior military engineers that keep nuclear energy running electricity to charge up that Android or Touch... Yeah, that's right. Same guys that stay under the sea for 6 months at a stretch on those subs? They keep the rest of us safe from growing a third eye.

Every family has at least one member who shows up to the family reunion & starts licking his balls like the dog, but should we continually mock that ONE particular household because they drew the chocolate mint that tastes like shit?
