The new smartphone comes in an array of colors, will be powered by Windows Phone 8 and cost $199.99 with contract.
HTC has added a rectangular shape just like Nokia's Lumia line, as well as a 4.3-inch 1280x720 Super LCD 2 display with Gorilla Glass 2.
Under the hood is a fast 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor with 1GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. The 8MP rear camera has a backside illuminated sensor (BSI), LED flash, and HTC's own discrete imaging processor.
Additionally, HTC says "for the first time, we are introducing a 2.1MP, 88° ultra-wide angle front-facing camera that captures more people at once and also supports 1080p video capture." Beats Audio technology is built in, thanks to an exclusive agreement.
The Windows Phone 8X by HTC will be available beginning in November through more than 150 carriers in 50+ countries including AT&T, Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile in the U.S.
