Rumor: Apple testing their HDTV but with no time table for release
According to the latest rumors, Apple is indeed testing their HDTV in secret through Foxconn without any timetable for release.

The panels being tested are between 46-inches and 55-inches, say the sources.

Despite the internal testing, the sources say a 2013 launch is not as likely as some would like to believe, with Apple setting no timetable for release.

There have been rumors for years of the HDTV, which CEO Tim Cook recently called "more than a hobby." The rumored device will include a variant of the Mac OS X, a la carte channel selection and other smart device features.

Apple is likely waiting until they can rival Samsung Smart TVs before releasing a product that will likely be a game changer for the world's most valuable public company.

A good indicator of the release might be another spike in Chinese Foxconn employee suicides; as the pressure increases, and their internal deadline approaches.
Just kidding, I'm sure their new TV will be fantastic.

I'm not an Apple fan, but if I can get a la carte programming, I'll be very interested. One of my pet peeves is having to pay for hundreds of channels that I never watch.

The ala carte will be a game changer, IMO. TV specs will be ok, no doubt have a SDD and cost $1000 to $2000 more than a equally speced TV.

That's all we need... an overly expensive white TV, that quits to the menu screens, halfway through the programme you're watching.

No thanks, I'll take a TV from the people who know what they're doing.

No thanks Crapple. I'll take my JVC over yours any day :p Samsung makes decent displays too. And on the other hand, if you make a VERY good HDTV, and I'm talking phenomenal, I'll eat my hat. But I'm betting you're using your name, to better your company ;) It's just business I suppose...

Frankly, you remind me of $ony. $ony doesn't get the time of day from me. Everyone in my circle knows I have a seething hatred for $ony! Their business practices leave much to be desired...

Star Trek High Definition is only possible while theyre receiving return for their efforts. Pirate Star Trek, and their efforts will have no choice but to cease :(
