Samsung Galaxy S IV 'confirmed' as codename Altius with April release date
Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S IV flagship device has been confirmed by SamMobile, with the new codename Altius and a release date for the second week of April.

The site also confirmed some of the less important features of the device, including its colorways (black and white), its support of wireless charging, and its 2600 mAh battery.

Samsung will not reveal the phone at Mobile World Congress, but will instead hold their own "Unpacked" event in March, either in Korea or in NYC.

The rumored specs of the device are a 4.99-inch Super AMOLED Full 1080p HD display, an Exynos 5 Octa (8-Core) CPU, Mali-T658 (8-Core) GPU, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP camera that can shoot 1080p at 30FPS and a 2MP front shooter. The phone will run on Android 4.2 right out of the box along with Samsung's own suite of premium apps and its UX interface.

Thats some spec, but with a life cycle of a year, what will the S 3 V be. Now have to start looking at selling my S3 and get ready for the S 4

Your S3 is still really nice! Don't treat your S3 like Apple's iPhones. They don't need to be replaced year after year.

But if you really want the S4, wait for the reviews, and then maybe trade in your S3. Or you can just sell it if the S3 is too slow for your needs.

Wonder how much it will cost?

The only time the cost makes any difference is if you are buying it outright, which almost no one does. I'm sure it will be $200 with contract like every other top end phone. Maybe an iPhone costs more than that sometimes but if you are willing to pay extra for an iPhone, you deserve what you get.
