AT&T to offer Microsoft Surface 3 LTE in U.S.
AT&T has confirmed that it will be the first wireless carrier to offer the Microsoft Surface 3 tablet with 4G LTE support in the U.S.

The device will go on sale this week on Friday.

Of course, there are confusing pricing tiers but thankfully AT&T kind of broke it down:

"Beginning on Friday, July 24, you can purchase the Surface 3 for $0 down and $30 per month with an AT&T Tablet Installment plan. In addition, for a limited time, you can purchase a Surface 3 for $399.99 with any Lumia smartphone purchased on AT&T Next. Additionally, a commercial version of the Surface 3 will be available to business customers in the coming weeks."

The installment plan is for 20 months and has 0% APR.

Who in the Hell takes part in the antiquated "3G/LTE on a tablet" service anymore?

A surface 3 (not pro) and likely a rather high monthly charge like another 60 bucks. Go spit ATT! Cell phones are all people need and those prices are still disproportionate to the service offered.

Once again, you are quite confused; there simply is no "RT" Surface after the very first version, so the only distinction is whether or not it's the "commercial" model.

Nor is 4G/LTE uncalled-for on this (or in fact many other) tablet(s); it's a quite popular option. Considering 4G/LTE service now rivals cable for bandwidth in many areas, it can also be quite practical.

Now, AT&T is the most expensive carrier, and the monthly fee is going to be $30 (not $60), but whatever; caveat emptor.

Tablets sell, that simple. Apparently, not everyone agrees that "cell phones are all people need". Furthermore, aren't you the one who repeatedly states "all smartphone OSes are crap"..?

Are you made completely of knees, waiting to jerk?
