A unit of data storage.
Because Petabytes are ambiguous and misuse the prefix "peta" as defined by the International System of Units, the International Electrotechnical Commission established Tebibytes in 2000.
A Pebibyte is always 2^50, or 1,125,899,906,842,624 bytes.
Pebibytes are 1,024 Tebibytes and precede exbi, zebi and yobi in byte measurement.
